Quake-hit areas to receive more rains: MET

ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP): Director MET office Muhammad Hanif has said
that earthquake effected areas would receive another spell of rain during next 24 hours.
Talking to PTV News, Hanif said parts of Malakand, Hazara, Azad Jammu
and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan would receive rain while weather was expected to turn even colder in the areas worst-affected by the devastating earthquake.
He said that in Gilgit-Baltistan, the temperature has already dropped
after a three-day spell of intermittent rains and snowfall.
To a questions, he added that the weather also grew harsher in the Koh
Safaid tribal area of Parachinar after snowfall and heavy rain, with a similar situation in adjoining areas.
He said that residents of the quake-affected tribal areas should be
careful and be ready in case of any aftershocks.
Hanif said that the weather has would also turn cold Chitral, Mansehra
and the surrounding region.
Peshawar and other areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would also receive heavy
to light rainfall during next 24 hours, he added.
