LAHORE, Jun 29 (APP):The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab issued a weather alert

regarding storms, rains and hail across the province.

According to a PDMA spokesperson, rains are likely in most districts of Punjab, including Lahore, from July 1 to 6, while strong winds and hail may also occur in some areas.

Director General PDMA Umar Javed issued instructions to all commissioners and deputy commissioners to remain alert. The DG also directed farmers to take precautionary measures for their crops and other agricultural activities keeping in mind the weather conditions.

Similarly, tourists traveling to the northern areas have also been advised to take precautionary measures and avoid unnecessary travel.

According to the PDMA, the district administration has been directed to be fully prepared to deal with possible emergencies.
