Monsoon forecast to start from July 1

The Meteorological Department has predicted the start of monsoon season in the country  from July 1, saying that monsoon winds are likely to enter from northeast Punjab and Azad Kashmir, due to which rains may start in the northeastern areas of Punjab from July 1.

On the other hand, the intensity of heat and humidity continues in the city. On Sunday, the minimum temperature of the city was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius.
The humidity ratio in the air was recorded at 53 percent, and winds speed 10 kilometers per hour in the city.
However, the Met department has predicted rain for the city.
Experts have instructed citizens to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun during extreme heat, consume plenty of water and take precautionary measures.
