ISLAMABAD, July 4 (APP): Met Office on Monday informed that monsoon incursion will continue in upper and some central parts of the country during the current week, particularly during the Eid holidays.
Rain/thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls accompanied by windstorm is expected at scattered places of Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), FATA and Kashmir from Wednesday to Friday. There is high risk of flash flooding in hilly areas, Met office spokesman told APP.
He said the tourist destinations like Murree, Galliyat, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir are expected to receive, at times, heavy rains during Eid days that may trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas.
The tourists are advised to remain abreast with weather updates, National Disaster Management Authority and National Highway Authority advisories accordingly.
