Mainly hot, dry weather to persist, rain likely at few places of upper region

ISLAMABAD, June 5 (APP): Very hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while rain-thunderstorm is expected at few places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Seasonal low lies over central Balochistan with its trough extending
South-Eastwards. Continental Air is prevailing over most parts of the country.

In last 24 hours rain-thunderstorm with strong gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat divisions, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Weather remained hot and dry elsewhere in the country.

Rainfall recorded during this time span remained Parachinar 25mm, Bagrote 07mm, Chillas Trace, Kalam 01mm, Peshawar city, Peshawar A/P, Kohat Trace and Muzaffarabad 01mm.

Maximum temperatures recorded on Sunday remained Noorpurthal, Jacobabad 47øC, Okara, Bhakar, R.Y.Khan, Rohri, Dadu, Sibbi, M.B.Din, Bahawalnagar, Jhelum 46øC, Islamabad 41øC, Lahore 45øC, Karachi 38øC, Peshawar 42øC, Quetta 37øC, Gilgit 29øC, Chitral 33øC, Hunza 24øC, Muzaffarabad 37øC, Murree 28øC, Skardu 31øC, Faisalabad 43øC, Multan 44øC, Hyderabad 43øC, Dir 34øC, Kalat 32øC.
