KARACHI, June 28 (APP): Karachi on Tuesday received the first
rain of the monsoon turning weather pleasant after a long hot spell
of summer.
A Met Office official said that the Department’s observatory at Old Airport area had recorded 31 millimeters of rain till 8.20 p.m. He stated that earlier in the evening Karachi’s Nazimabad area had received 4.2 milimetres of rain.
The Met Office official said that the city would receive occasional rain for one to two days.
The forecast for Karachi during the next 24 hours is partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of rain and thunderstorm.
The maximum temperature in the metropolis is expected to range
between 37 to 39 degrees Centigrade.
The maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 38 degrees
Centigrade whereas the minimum was 29 degrees Centigrade.
