Students to make films featuring brave individuals’ stand against terrorism

ISLAMABAD, Sept 30 (APP): Purazm Pakistan would give task to the talented university students and young professionals to make short films, featuring the brave patriotic heroes who stood against the menace of terrorism in separate real life incidents.

Purazm Pakistan is a media campaign launched by the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage to pay tribute to those courageous individuals and institutions showing valour against the menaces of terrorism and extremism.

According to the printed materials available with this scribe, PurAzm Pakistan videos making competition would be officially launched on October 06, and closing of entries will
be on December 06.

Young professionals would be invited to participate in creating original, indigenous audio-visual and text based content on the themes of Purazm Pakistan.

The Purazm Awards are being organized to showcase the work of the next generation of storytellers. The best of this work will be featured on PTV and winners stand to receive cash prizes and special fellowship at PTV Academy.

The participants will create short film and videos on various themes including Peace over violence, Interfaith Harmony, Stop supporting extremism and Resilience against violence.

The students and young professionals would be eligible for participation in the competition with free entry for all. The submissions will be solely the work of the participants and are not copied, stolen or plagiarized from others.

The submission will be judged by an esteemed panel of journalists, playwriters and experts. Their decision will be considered final and unchallengeable.

The video quality should be in high definition and must be real life stories. At 75 per cent of the footage must be self-shot. The rights to any other footage is the responsibility of the entry submitter. Duration of any video should not be more than 3 minutes.

The video may be prepared by a group or an individual. However, awards and prizes will be presented in the names of the video. All the entries for PurAzm Pakistan competition with complete requirements/ documentation may be sent on or before the deadline.

The stories can be in both Urdu and English. The profile story must be accompanied by a photo of the subject and the story must be based on a real life incident, individual or group.
