ISLAMABAD, June 10 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday directed the Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Work place to equip women with advanced technology, give them protection and increase their confidence at the work place.
He said this while talking to Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Work place, Justice ® Yasmin Abbasey who called on him here at the Aiwan e Sadr, a press release issued here said.
The President said that effective participation by women at the workforce was necessary to ensure national development but to achieve this objective they must be provided with confidence and security for which Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Work place plays a vital role.
He advised the Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Work place to redress the grievances of working women and effectively use advanced technology so that women do not have to travel far distances for provision of justice.
The President also said that the concerned departments would be directed to resolve the problems of Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Work place Secretariat.
