ISLAMABAD, July 15 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime
Minister Dr Asif Kirmani Friday said the government has decided to observe Black Day across the country on Tuesday (July 19) against Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
The decision was taken in a special meeting of the cabinet
chaired by the Prime Minister in Lahore on current situation in
Indian Held Kashmir (IHK), he said talking to a private news
channel.
He said, it was also decided in the meeting that special
teams would be sent in various countries to raise Kashmir issue at all international fora and tell the world community how India was involved in genocide of Kashmiri people in IHK.
Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi had already taken up the issue there on the directives of the Prime Minister, he said.
He said Foreign Office had presented detail report in the
cabinet meeting about the current Kashmir situation and important decisions has been taken over it.
A letter has also been written to the United Nations General
Assembly (UNGA) on the current situation in the Held Kashmir, he said.
Dr. Kirmani said the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)
government had condemned the recent incident of Indian barbarism in occupied Kashmir.
“We are not ignorant over the situation rather we are well
aware and fulfilling our due responsibilities,” he said and added that it was Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who took the Kashmir issue to international level.
