ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP):Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Muhammad Azam Khan Swati Wednesday directed the heads of different departments working under his ministry to rationalize the man-power needs of the organizations to reduce non-beneficial burden on national exchequer.
The federal minister was chairing the meeting of senior officials of the ministry.
Azam Swati desired all the participants to work for the development of their organization. He further motivated the officers to work with a result oriented approach.
The minister directed all the heads to submit monthly report regarding the running projects in their respective organizations. The project’s progress report will be evaluated by the ministry in order to decide the fate of the project.
Head of the organizations including Rector NUST, Retd Lieutenant General Naweed Zaman, Rector COMSATS, Professor Dr. Raheel Qamar and Chairman PEC, Engineer Jawed Salim Qureshi were also present in the meeting.
Federal Minister was briefed on the function, achievements, mandate and performance of the Ministry of Science and Technology by heads of the institutions.
