ISLAMABAD, Nov 03 (APP): Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said on Wednesday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was indulging in politics of deceit, fraud and allegations.
In a statement in reaction to Maryam Aurangzeb’s comments he said that it was a fact that currently inflation was record high in the world.
He said that due to prudent and pro- people policies of the present government, minimum impact of world inflation was passed on to the consumers. The minister said that the recent report of the UNFAO has made everything clear.
He said that 127 per cent increase has been registered in the prices of edible oil and 100 per cent in the prices of petroleum products in the international market.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has introduced the policy of taking the nation in confidence on every situation.
Farrukh Habib said that the PM was more concerned about the poor and middle class people.
The minister said under Ehsaas programme, 34 social security schemes were being
successfully run.
To ensure stability in prices of edible items including vegetables etc the Federal and provincial governments were taking steps on a daily basis, he remarked.
He said that the PML-N should acknowledge that the minimum impact of rising prices of edibles at international level was passed on to the consumers in Pakistan.
Farrukh said that the Prime Minister never left the people of Pakistan at the mercy of the circumstances after the outbreak of coronavirus.
He said that in the past slogans of relief were mere announcements and
the rulers misappropriated the funds for personal benefit.
He said that the previous government of the PML-N was responsible for the present wave of inflation as it ruined all national institutions during 2013-2018.The PML-N wanted to get relief from the National Accountability Bureau and all its cases dismissed, he added.
He said that the corruption, money laundering, kick backs and fake bank accounts were their hobbies.
He said due to bad policies of the PPP and PML-N governments, the country was at the verge of default many times.”Who knocked the door of the International Monetary Fund for the first time and why did its need arise,” he questioned.
