Cantonment board elections expose opposition’s standing: Fawad
ISLAMABAD, Sep 12 (APP): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Sunday said that the cantonment board elections have once again exposed the standing of opposition parties including Pakistan People Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) among the masses.
“The real contests were between the independents and PTI candidates in all over the country,” he said.
In a tweet, he said the cantonment board elections have once again proved that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was the only dominating party that has countrywide vote bank.
In another tweet, he said PTI candidates have won Jhelum cantonment elections by defeating Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) candidates with clear margin.
