ISLAMABAD, Aug 3 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Lt. Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum Wednesday said the Parliament itself was a gaurentee of the country’s security.
Survival of the country lies in strengthening of democracy and following of constitution, he said talking to a private news channel.
He said judiciary, media including (social media) were present in the country for the accountability of the government.
Importance should be given to the parliament and all the
issues should be discussed and addressed in it instead of taking masses to roads on non-issues, he added.
Abdul Qayyum termed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) vital for Pakistan’s progress, as number of projects including industrial zones would be set up in it over the suggestions of the provinces.
He said Kashmir was a flash point in South Asia and should
be resolved as per aspirations of Kashmiris.
