PESHAWAR, Aug 28 (APP): Young XI Bannu defeated Machni Khail Tank by 2-0 in a thrilling match of the All Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Jashan-e-Azadi Football Tournament being played at Latambar Football Stadium, District Karak on Sunday.
Machni Khail Tank raided on rival defence in the very 7th minute and was awarded a penalty kick when center striker Amin Ullah was wrongly intercepted by deep defenders of Young XI Bannu club and umpire Rohullah awarded Machni Khail Tank a penalty kick but Amin Ullah attempt went wide from the goal-post.
It was good goal-fetching attempt but Machni Khail Tank failed to utilize it.
On the other hand, Young XI Bannu also made some rallies of attacks and in the 34th minute slammed in a beautiful goal through international footballer Muhammad Umair on the field attempt. At half-time Young XI Bannu was leading by 1-0.
It was the second session when Bannu team fully dominated the proceedings and did not allow Tank club to strike back.
Muhammad Umair scored another goal through field attempt in the 54th minute and thus guided his team to victory. A total of 27 teams are taking part in the tournament to be played on knock-out basis.
