ISLAMABAD, May 6 (APP): Former Pakistan all-rounder Yasir
Arafat while praising the decision of chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq to drop-out Shahid Afridi from the squad said it would have been better if he had retired himself.
Yasir said I respect Inzamam’s decision as a selector to leave out
Afridi however, I feel that it would have been better if Afridi had made the decision himself.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) could have had a discussion with him (Afridi) and stated their intentions to leave him out so that in the meantime he could announce his retirement,” Pakpassion.net quoted him as saying.
