Wasim in favour of Pak-India cricket series

ISLAMABAD, Nov 26 (APP): Former legendary fast bowling, Wasim Akram has said that Pakistan should play the proposed series with India if the government allows for the resumption of cricket ties.
Talking to Private News channel, Wasim said that Pakistan and India were two great Asian cricketing nations and their encounter was always one of the biggest events in cricketing world.He said that it did not matter what the venue was, the main thing was that Indo-Pak cricket series should be resumed.
The former Pakistan captain said it was important to move forward in Indo-Pak cricket relations as nearly 10 crore people in both countries follow the contest between arch-rivals.
To a question, he said that there was no doubt that if this series takes place soon it would strengthen the Pakistan cricket board financially.
He said that many senior players from both sides were also advocating to hold this series as it would release the ongoing tension between the two
countries.
