LAHORE, Jun 25 (APP):Test Cricketer Umar Akmal appeared before the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) here on Monday, two days ahead of his scheduled appearance before the ACU.
Umar had been asked to appear before the PCB ACU on June 27 but at Umar’s request and owing to his availability issues the interview was conducted on Monday by the ACU, said a spokesman for the PCB here.
Umar has seen served with a notice by the PCB and was asked to appear before ACU following his re-evaluation in a recent TV interview that he was approached on many occasions by the bookies or match fixers for corrupt activities.
“The matter is now under consideration and PCB will announce further details shortly,” said the spokesman.
