ISLAMABAD, Dec 19 (APP): A four-member delegation of sports journalists from Turkmenistan Monday sought Rawalpindi-Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA)’s help to promote games being held in its country.
The delegation visited Pakistan Sports Complex (PSC) on the request of Pakistan Sports Writers Federation and extended invitation to them to cover the multi-sports indoor events.
The delegation is travelling to different cities of Pakistan to get the information on prevailing state of sports activities in Pakistan.
In an interaction with RISJA, member of the delegation briefed about the salient features of the Fifth Indoor Asian Games, taking place at Ashgabat in September, 2017.
Earlier, the delegation called on Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Mian Riaz Husain Pirzada, Federal Secretary IPC Raja Nadir Ali and Director General Pakistan Sports Board Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera.
The delegation also visited different sports facilities available at the PSC and invited the IPC minister to visit Turkmenistan.
