Third day of PM Women’s U-21 Hockey Championship produces one-sided victories

ISLAMABAD, Jul 04 (APP):Four matches were played on the third day of the Prime Minister National Women’s Under-21 Hockey Championship 2026 at the Nasir Bunda Hockey Stadium, Islamabad. The event is taking place under the auspices of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) with the support of Alaska Batteries, PTCL and PARCO.
In the opening match, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (B) outclassed Sindh (A) 6-0. Sawera scored a hat-trick, while Samar added two goals and Rashida netted one. In the second match, Olympian Zakir Women Academy defeated Star Women Academy (A) 6-0. Sobia scored three goals, while Sehrish, Robesha and Raqqiya contributed one goal each.
The third match saw Gilgit-Baltistan register a 3-0 victory over Star Women Academy (B). Arsheela struck twice, while Salsabeela scored the remaining goal. In the fourth match, Sindh (B) secured a convincing 5-0 win over Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Umme Fatima scored a hat-trick, while Mubashna and Ashna added one goal each.
A total of 16 teams from across the country are participating in the championship. The teams have been divided into different pools and include Punjab (A & B), Gilgit-Baltistan, Star Women Academy (A & B), FD Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (A & B), Women Sports Academy Mardan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (A & B), Olympian Zakir Women Academy, Sindh (A, B & C), Balochistan and Islamabad.
