ISLAMABAD, Apr 3 (APP):Pakistan’s last hope Tayyab Aslam lost the quarterfinals of Chief of the Air Staff-Serena Hotels International Squash Tournament for Men played here at Mushaf Squash Complex on Wednesday.
Tayyab lost the match to Karim Al Fathi of Egypt by 11-5, 11-8, 11-5 (43 Min). In the other quarterfinals, Greg Loban (Sco) beat Mohamed Elshirbini (Egy) 11-5, 11-6, 9-11, 11-7 (55 Min); Mostafa Asal (Egy) beats Mazen Gamal (Egy) 9-11, 11-6, 11-6, 11-5 (38 Min) and Youssef Soliman (Egy) beats Mohamed Reda (Egy 9-11, 11-5, 11-5, 11-6 (50 Min).
In the quarterfinals of Serena Hotels-Condor Pakistan International Squash Tournament for Women, also played at Mushaf Squash Complex, the foreigners outclassed Pakistani players.
Farida Mohammed (Egy) beat Riffat Khan (Pak) 11-4, 11-2, 11-2 (15 Min); Sana Ibrahim (Egy) beat Moqaddas Ashraf (Pak) 11-4, 11-8, 11-3 (17 Min); Cindy Merlo (Sui) beat Amna Fayyaz (Pak) 11-4, 11-4, 11-9 (17 Min) and Jihyun Lee (Kor) beats Madina Zafar (Pak) 10-12, 11-7, 11-3, 11-6 (26 Min). The semi finals of tournaments would be played on Thursday.
