Series in Pakistan a tough venture, Australian army cricket captain

LAHORE, Oct 18 (APP):- Craig Holmes, Captain of Australian Army cricket has termed the series against Pak Army challenging saying he anticipates tough opposition from the home teams during the tour.

“It will be tough going for us but we are here to put up a good performance and we look forward to exciting cricket in next few days,” he told media men here on Tuesday at National cricket academy after a practice session.

“I am visiting Pakistan for the first time and we are very excited to be here,” he added.

The visiting captain expressed his satisfaction over the security measures being taken by the concerned quarters for holding the series.

“We have good practice at NCA which is a modern facility and we feel very comfortable while in Pakistan,” he stated.

The visiting cricket team practiced at (NCA) indoor and outdoor to prepare for the first leg of matches to be held on October 19, 21 and 22 in various grounds of Lahore. Later, the team will travel to Rawalpindi and Abbottabad to feature in the remaining matches.
