Senator Rana Sanaullah hosts dinner in honour of AFC President Sheikh Salman

ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (APP):Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah hosted a special dinner in honour of the President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA Vice President, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa.
The event was attended by Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Federal Minister for Housing Riaz Hussain Pirzada, and Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani, said a press release.
Federal Secretary for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Mohyuddin Wani, Director General Sports Amjad Gill, President of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Mohsin Gilani, and President of the Pakistan Football League (PFL) Farhan Junejo were also present on the occasion.
Extending a warm welcome to Sheikh Salman and his distinguished delegation, Sanaullah, who also holds the portfolio of the IPC Ministry said, “Today marks a reflection of our mutual friendship, respect, and shared commitment to the promotion of football.”
He said, “Sports transcend borders and cultures, uniting hearts across nations. The visit of the FIFA Senior Vice President brings a renewed sense of hope for the bright future of football in Pakistan.”
He said, “Pakistan and Bahrain share relations rooted in brotherhood, faith, culture, and mutual respect. Pakistan, Bahrain friendship extends beyond diplomacy; it is reflected in our cooperation in trade, defence, education, and now, sports.”
Expressing his gratitude, Sheikh Salman said, “I am deeply thankful to the Government of Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Senator Rana Sanaullah for their warm hospitality.”
He added, “It is a matter of great pleasure and pride for me to visit Pakistan. The passion and love of the Pakistani people for football are truly admirable.”
“I am confident that this visit will further strengthen the relationship between Pakistan and the AFC and mark the beginning of a new era for the development of football in the country,” he said.
