LAHORE, May 23 (APP):Secretary Sports Punjab, Muhammad Aamir
Jan has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow on the demise of
Pakistan Olympian Raja Fazil, who breathed his last in Rawalpindi
on Monday. He was 92.
In his condolence message here on Wednesday, Aamir Jan prayed to Allah Almighty to rest
the departed soul in eternal peace. He also expressed
his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family
and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant courage to them to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
Fazil was part of 38-member Pakistan contingent which participated
in Helsinki, Finland Olympics in 1952. He together with Mohammad Sharif, Abdul Aziz and Mohammad Aslam represented Pakistan in 400×100 relay race.
Secretary Sports Punjab also condoled the death of former hockey
player Raza Al-Mustafa, who was killed during an armed robbery in
South African city of Johannesburg.
