Sarah Mahboob wins Women’s Tennis title

ISLAMABAD, Sep 27 (APP):Veteran female tennis player Sarah Mahboob clinched the Subh-e-Nau Women’s National Tennis Tournament title which concluded at PSB Tennis Courts her on Thursday.
Sarah Mahboob defeated her opponent Sara Mansoor in a well fought Women Singles final with 6-3 and 6-3 score line. She received Rs 50,000 as prize money with memento and certificate. Women’s Singles Runner-Up Sara Mansoor received Rs 30,000 with memento and certificate.
Earlier in Media Singles Final, Arif Mehmood of K2 TV won the title after beating Afzal Mahmood of BOL TV in a well contested match. Winner of this category received Rs 15,000 while the runner up was awarded Rs 9,000. In Girls U-10 final, Zainab Ali Raja beat Esha Zia in straight sets.
Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination who was the Chief Guest at the concluding ceremony, distributed shields and mementoes among players.
Dr. Fehmida Mirza also appreciated Subh-e-Nau for holding exclusive Women Tennis event and said that she was impressed with Subh-Nau bearing the flag of women tennis in Pakistan.
Chairperson Subh-e-Nau Shahida Kausar Farooq thanked the chief guest, players, officials and sponsors for this successful event. She said we need more sponsors to continue our efforts.
After the closing ceremony, Federal Minister Dr. Fehmida Mirza planted a citrus tree with players and officials. Taimur Shah, Head Public Sector Deposit North Bank of Punjab, Humayun Saifullah and others also attended the closing ceremony.
