Quaid-e-Azam Games: Punjab wins women’s swimming title

ISLAMABAD, Dec 15 (APP): Punjab emerged victorious in the women’s swimming category on Sunday at the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games, organized by the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).
Islamabad secured second place, while Sindh finished third, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa standing at fourth position.
Punjab secured the top spot with 335 points, followed by Islamabad with 169 points and Sindh with 43 points. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa managed to earn 4 points, finishing fourth.
Besides others, the closing ceremony was attended by Punjab Sports Board Director General Khizar Afzal Chaudhry, who distributed prizes alongside PSB Deputy Director General Shahid Islam. The event was attended by PSB Director Admin Ihtesham-ul-Haq, Event Director Chaudhry Saeed Akhtar, and a large number of spectators.
Athletes securing first position in the championship received Rs. 20,000 each, while runners-up and third-place winners were awarded Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively, along with medals.
The event saw participation from seven women’s teams representing Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad. Men’s swimming events are also part of the ongoing competitions.
