Punjab Sports Minister calls for devising sports policy

LAHORE, Mar 29 (APP):Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti has called for immediate devising of sports policy under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said this while addressing an important meeting at National Hockey Stadium on Friday. Sports experts Shahbaz Ibraheem, Ijaz Asghar and Dr Tayyab Minhas also attended the meeting.
Rai Taimoor said ToRs of sports policy have been finalised and sports policy will be implemented in near future. “Under the sports policy, Punjab Government will utilize all resources to trace fresh talent from schools and grassroots level,” he added.
Punjab Sports Minister said that two sports periods per week in schools will be revived across the Punjab. “Indoor games will be organized at such schools where grounds are not available. Punjab Govt is also planning to establish sports school in the province,” he added.
Meanwhile Rai Taimoor also attended the final match of National Deaf Cricket T20 Championship at LCCA ground on Friday.
On this occasion he said that Punjab Govt will provide every assistance to special persons during their sports events. He appreciated the performance of deaf cricket teams. He said: “It’s great feeling to attend National Deaf Cricket T20 Championship,” he said.
