LAHORE, Dec 28 (APP):Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti Friday said the Punjab government will continue taking effective measures for promotion of sports in the province.
He said this during his meeting with Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council (PWCC) officials at his office here at National Hockey Stadium.
Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said Punjab government would extend every possible support for holding of Lahore Champions League 2019 being organised under the auspices of Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council at LRCA ground from January 14, 2019.
“Every segment of society has equal right to take part in sports activities,” said Punjab Sports Minister Rai.
The PWCC officials – Joint Secretary Mohid Tariq and Syed Arslan Ahmed – informed the minister that Pakistan’s top wheelchair cricketers will represent three teams — Lahore Badshah, Lahore Lions and Lahore Warriors in the Champions League.
