LAHORE, Mar 28 (APP)-:Sports Board Punjab (SBP), on the directives of Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar, has released the detail of Punjab Games medals on Thursday.
The 72nd edition of Punjab Games is being organized jointly by Sports Board Punjab and Punjab Olympic Association here at various venues from April 3 to 6, 2019.
As many as 1028 medals including 295 gold, 295 silver and 438 bronze medals will be distributed among the top performers during the 4-day 72ndPunjab Games 2019.
Nadeem Sarwar said it is a golden opportunity for talented players to show their talent and win maximum number of medals in the sports extravaganza.
“Sports Board Punjab will encourage all the promising players during the Punjab Games,” he added.
As per details, in the male category, 13 gold, silver and bronze medals each will be awarded in athletics, swimming individual and cycling team events while 14 gold, silver and bronze medals each will be distributed in football and hockey competitions.
12 gold, silver and bronze medals each will be distributed in kabaddi, and baseball team events and the winners of volleyball event will bag 10 gold, silver and bronze medals each.
In the female category, 10 gold, silver and bronze medals each will be distributed in basketball, volleyball and handball team events. In the special persons’ competitions, 54 medals will be distributed in athletics and 36 in cycling event.
