ISLAMABAD, Jul 24 (APP): The Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) President, Lt Col (R) Raja Wasim Ahmed, has been elected as a Council Member of the Asian Taekwondo Union (ATU).
The election took place during the ATU General Assembly held on Thursday (July 24), in Kuching, Malaysia, said a press release.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for Pakistan’s growing presence in the international Taekwondo community. Wasim Ahmed’s election reflects his years of dedicated service to the sport and his contributions to promoting Taekwondo both nationally and internationally.
In the same assembly, Sang Jin Kim of South Korea was elected as the new President of the Asian Taekwondo Union, ushering in a new era of leadership for the sport across the continent.
The Pakistan Taekwondo Federation has congratulated both leaders and look forward to working collaboratively to further the development of Taekwondo in Asia.
