ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP): The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has agreed to initiate the long-awaited scrutiny of clubs and conduct fresh elections, as confirmed during the 10th meeting of the Standing Committee on Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) held here at the IPC Ministry.
The meeting, chaired by MNA Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, reviewed the report presented by the Convener of the Sub-Committee. In line with the Sub-Committee’s recommendations, PHF officials informed the Committee that the formal announcement regarding the election of the Chairman will be made during the meeting scheduled for November 7.
During the session, the Committee also provided key suggestions concerning Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and the PHF.
Several queries were raised by the Committee members, which were addressed by representatives from the Ministry and its attached departments.
The meeting was attended by MNA’s, including Anjum Aqeel Khan, Waseem Qadir, Haji Rasool Bux Chandio, Syeda Shehla Raza, Dr. Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan, and Syed Samiullah. Senior officials from the Ministry of IPC were also present.
