MULTAN, Oct 13 (APP):Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary Rana Mujahid has wished the establishment of a Pakistan Hockey Board for the revival and financial
stability of the national sport.
In a statement issued here on Monday, he said the PHF currently lacks a permanent source of income, which caused delays in payments to players and officials. Rana Mujahid suggested if the government handed over all hockey stadiums and facilities to the PHF, they could be used to generate revenue and make the sport self-sustaining.
He added that forming a hockey board or allocating an annual budget would help run the game on a permanent basis without financial dependence.
Rana Mujahid reaffirmed the PHF’s commitment to keeping hockey alive despite limited resources and urged the government and sponsors to support this mission.
