ISLAMABAD, Jun 14 (APP):The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has continued its efforts to improve the fitness standards of the Junior Under-21 Hockey team and prepare players in line with modern sporting requirements.
As part of these initiatives, a special session was conducted for the junior team under the supervision of senior sports nutrition expert Dr. Nabeel, said a press release.
During the session, players were briefed on various nutrition-related challenges they face and practical solutions to address them.
The session was attended by Pakistan Sports Board Deputy Director General Shahid-ul-Islam, National Under-21 Hockey Team Head Coach Olympian Ayaz Mahmood, Coach Olympian Syed Sameer Hussain, and International Coach Azfar Yaqoob.
The primary objective of the session was to identify and eliminate fitness-related issues affecting the players. PHF officials stated that all available resources and facilities are being utilized to ensure the team achieves exemplary fitness standards.
Dr. Nabeel provided players with valuable guidance on effective muscle training and injury prevention through proper nutrition planning.
He emphasized that a balanced diet and appropriate nutritional intake are essential for a professional athlete, not only for maintaining peak fitness but also for delivering optimal performance on the field.
