Pentathlon activity plan approved

LAHORE, Aug 03 (APP): Pakistan Modern Pentathlon Federation (PMPF) has approved an ambitious activity plan for the overall development of the game across the country.

The plan was approved at the annual general council meeting of the PMPF which held under the chairmanship of its President, Riaz Fitiana at the national hockey stadium here on Wednesday.

Representatives of Punjab, Islamabad, Wapda, Railways and women wing attended the meeting.

The calendar year competitions of 2016 were also approved in the meeting. It is also decided that an international coach will be invited in September for the training of young Pakistani players.

According to calendar year activities, PMPF will organize National Junior and Senior Championship in October. The annual expenditures were also approved during the meeting.

The complete affiliation of PMPF was given to Pakistan Wapda, Police, Railways, Islamabad and all the four provinces during the meeting. The PMPF will also provide complete technical support to all departments and provinces.

Senior Vice-President Syed Tahir Fawad Shah, Secretary Ch Zahoor Ahmed, Vice-President Mian Safdar Hussain and other officials also participated in the meeting. The meeting also condoled the death of former MNA Anwar Ali Cheema, who was also a relative of PMPF Vice-President Tanzeela Amir Cheema.
