PCF invites foreign cyclists for race

ISLAMABAD, Jun 27 (APP): Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) has
sent invitations to five countries for participation in the national cycling event scheduled to be held in Khyber Agency in August.

Talking to APP, PCF secretary Azhar Ali Shah said the national cycling event will be held on August 25. “The race will begin from Bab-e-
Khyber and end at Torkham, bordering Afghanistan. The total distance from Jamrud to Torkham is around 73 kilometres,” he said.

He said we had sent invitations to Sri Lanka, Iran, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bangladesh.

“We have been assured full support by the administration of Khyber Agency,” he said.

He said the event would carry cash prize of $ 10,000.PCF aims to
hold events in tribal belt as to promote the game in these areas.
