Pakistan’s Ahmad Zafar Hayat wins Singapore Open Senior Amateur Championship
ISLAMABAD, Sep 25 (APP):Pakistan’s Ahmad Zafar Hayat clinched the overall title at the 35th Singapore Open Senior Amateur Championship 2026 (SOSAC), delivering an impressive performance to put the country on top of the international senior amateur golf event in Singapore.
Ahmad Zafar Hayat carded rounds of 73, 74 and 76 for a three-round aggregate of 223 (+7) to secure the championship title.
Another Pakistani golfer, Brigadier (Retd) Omer Ejaz, also produced an outstanding performance, finishing third overall with rounds of 77, 80 and 72, giving him a total of 229 (+13).
Muhammad Abdullah Mannan was the third member of the Pakistan contingent and completed the championship with rounds of 82, 86 and 82, for an aggregate of 250 (+34).
The Pakistani senior amateur golfers travelled to Singapore on September 20, 2026 to represent the country at the prestigious championship.
Ahmad Zafar Hayat’s overall victory, coupled with Omer Ejaz’s third-place finish, provided Pakistan with an impressive double podium finish and highlighted the strength of the country’s senior amateur golfers on the international stage.
The Pakistan Golf Federation congratulated the players on their performances and appreciated their efforts in representing Pakistan with distinction at the Singapore Open Senior Amateur Championship.
