ISLAMABAD, Jul 23 (APP):Former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar believes that the Green-shirts would down India in the final of this year’s Twenty20 World Cup which was scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from October.

Pakistan were also set to clash with their arch-rivals India in the group stage of the event. Group 2 of the mega event includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Afghanistan and the other two qualifiers from Round 1.

“I have a feeling Pakistan and India will play in the T20 World Cup final and India will lose to Pakistan. Conditions in UAE will favour both India and Pakistan,” the Rawalpindi Express told Sports Tak on YouTube as quoted by cricketpakistan.com.pk.

The T20 World Cup would run from October 17 to November 14 after being shifted from India due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, it may be mentioned here that Pakistan have a woeful record against India in ICC World Cups, losing all 11 games, which includes five T20 World Cup matches.
