Pakistan to host West Asia baseball cup

LAHORE,Sept 5 (APP)-Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) has allotted the 13th West Asia Baseball Cup 2017 to Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB).
This decision was taken at an Executive Committee meeting of BFA held under the chairmanship of Tom Peng President BFA in Chinese Taipei on Monday, said a spokesman of BFA while talking to APP here.
Syed Fakhar Ali Shah Executive Director,PFB,represented Pakistan in the meeting.”The event will be participated by as many as seven countries including, Afghanistan, India, Iran, Iraq, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan and invitations will be extended to them in due course of time”,he added.
He said the event will help in further promoting baseball in the country besides portraying a soft image of Pakistan.
“We are thankful to BFA for allocating us an international baseball
event and will organize it in a befitting manner,the way we did by hosting elite international baseball events in the past”, he maintained.
