ISLAMABAD, Oct 4 (APP): Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) on Tuesday said the participation of the national team in the World Blind Twenty20 is doubtful due to current situation between Pakistan and India.
It may be mentioned that the World Blind T20 will be held in India in January next year.
Talking to APP, a PBCC official said the participation of the national team in the World Blind T20 depends on the permission from the government.
“If the situation remains the same as it is nowadays between both the countries then it is likely that the team won’t be going in the event,” he said.
He said but at our end we are fully prepared for the mega event. “We have short-listed 20 players out of which 16 will be finalized for the final squad,” he said.
He further said as part of preparation a Twenty20 Cup will also be held in Islamabad F-9 Park from October 17 to 21.
“As many as six teams will participate in the tournament one each from Lahore, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Kashmir and Islamabad,” he said.
