ISLAMABAD, Jan 24 (APP):Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary, Shahbaz Ahmed Senior has said that Pakistan Hockey League would take place during the ongoing year in a true professional manner.
“This is a very big event, involving around 250 million rupees. We have got NOC for it. Now we only have to see when we will be able to hold it a befitting manner,” he said talking to Radio Pakistan’s Sports World Programme.
He said the recently held two-match series with World XI team would give a positive message about Pakistan.
He said players from seven countries were part of Word XI outfit and when they would tell in their countries how much they enjoyed the hospitality and courtesy in Pakistan, other international players would at once decide to become feature in Pakistan Hockey League.
He said the major reasons of Pakistan hockey’s downfall was that international events were not been taking place in the country.
