Pakistan Army Volleyball team wins series against Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD, June 7 (APP): The Pakistan Army Volleyball team has won the Inter-Regiment Volleyball Championship 2016 held in Sri Lanka.

Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Major General Channa Goonetilleke, was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed prizes to winning and runners-up teams said a press release received here on Tuesday from Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Pakistan Army Volleyball Team took part as a foreign country for the first time in the history of this championship, on the invitation of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

The Inter-Regiment Volleyball Championship 2016 was organized by the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

The championships serve as the launch pad for national and international recognition of talented sportsmen and women, besides generating healthy sporting competitions.
