Pak wins maximum number of test matches under Misbah captaincy

LAHORE, May 23 (APP):Misbah has been rated as the most successful Pakistan test team captain against England as under his captaincy the team won as many as seven test matches against the English side.
During 2012-2016, Pakistan cricket team under the leadership of
Misbah played ten test matches, winning seven, losing two as one test
ended in a draw. Misbah has the unique honour of being the only Pakistan test captain under whose captaincy the team achieved the rare distinction of number one test ranking team.
Uninterestingly as many as eight Pakistan captains including Imtiaz Ahmad, Hanif Muhammad, Javed Burki, Majid Khan, Intikhab Alam, Wasim
Bari, Saeed Ahmad and Moin Khan failed to win a test match against the English side during their respective stint with the team.
According to the statistics made available to APP here on Wednesday. England team enjoys edge over Pakistan in the test matches. From 1954
to 2016, both the teams have so far played 81 matches, out of which the English won 24 ,lost 20 and 37 games ended without producing a result.
At English soil , Pakistan played 51 test matches against England. The green shirts emerged winner in 11 encounter but lost 22 and 18 matches
were drawn.
Pakistan has been remained undefeated in test matches at United Arab Emirates where both the sides played six test matches with green shirts
won five and one ended in a draw.
