ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP):The Pakistan volleyball team has made history by qualifying for the final of the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025, at Bahrain.
In an electrifying encounter, Pakistan defeated Indonesia by 3–1 with set scores of 22–25, 25–12, 25–19, 26–24 in the semifinal, securing a well-deserved victory.
After losing the opening set, Pakistan bounced back with tremendous energy, discipline, and precision, showcasing high-quality volleyball that left the spectators and opponents equally impressed, said a press release.
The team’s performance was powered by an exceptional collective effort. Muhammad Yahya, Muhammad Anas, Ajmal Junaid, and Muhammad Irfan were the standout players of the match, demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, and composure under pressure.
With this victory, Pakistan has qualified for the final, where they will face Iran on 29 October 2025 at 9pm (Pakistan Time) at the Isa Bin Rashid Sports City Hall, Bahrain.
Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob, Chairman of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation,congratulated the players and management on their brilliant performance, said, “Congratulations to Team Pakistan! The way our young players have performed in this tournament is a matter of great pride for the entire nation.
The boys have shown their true potential, discipline, and fighting spirit. Reaching the final of the Asian Youth Games is a historic achievement. I am confident they will continue this momentum and bring the Gold Medal home.”
Sohail Khawar Mir, President of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, also praised the team’s historic journey and the consistent progress of youth volleyball in Pakistan.
