ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): Pakistani players moved into the 3rd round of the ITF Pakistan Ali Embroidery World Junior Tennis Championship J-30 (Leg-2)-2025 here at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex.
A large number of junior tennis players from around the world, including China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the host nation, Pakistan, are participating in the tournament.
On the 2nd day, 5 Pakistani boys and 1 girl moved into the 3rd round of the Championships.
In Boys Singles Main draw 2nd Round: Timur Gordeev (RUS) beat Chanapat (THA) 7-5,6-3; Amir Mazari (PAK) beat Shehryar Anees (PAK) 6-0,6-3; Ahtesham Humayun (PAK) beat Zohaib Afzal Malik (PAK) 6-2,6-3; Mikaeel Ali Baig (PAK) beat Jun Woo Ye(KOR) 6-1,6-2; Abubakar Talha (PAK) beat Abdul Basit (PAK) 6-4,6-0; Muhammad Hassan Usmai (PAK) Ganuka Fernando (SRI) 7-5,6-3; Marsel Alexeyev (KAZ) beat Ippei Matsushima(JPN) 5-7,6-2(retd); Kristijonas Milasausjs (LTU) beat Inam Qadir (PAK) 6-0,6-1.
In Girls Singles Main draw 2nd Round: Karolina Ligai (KAZ) beat Varvara Rubeatsova (RUS) 6-4,6-1; Yewon Lee (KOR) beat Polina (KAZ) 6-3,6-2; Amna Ali Qayum (PAK) beat Eyu Yoshida (JPN) 6-2,6-2;Zihan Feng(CHN) beat Soha Ali (PAK) 6-3,6-0; Serife Pelin Sari(TUR) beat Rania Busz(USA) 6-0,6-0; Ecrin Lal Yavuz (TUR) beat Praewa (THA) 6-0,6-1; Daria Bogacheva (RUS) beat Naimah Grant (GBR) 6-3,6-0; Deniz Cakil (TUR) beat Mingxi Qu(CHN) 6-4,6-3. The matches will start at 10am on Wednesday.
