Talking to APP, Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) vice president Masood Ahmed said Amina has suffered from a knee injury in the training camp therefore she won’t be going in the event. He said now a three-member Pakistan team will depart to Abu Dhabi, UAE on Wednesday to participate in the Grand Slam.
“The judokas to participate in the event include Wajahat Sarwat (-100kg), Qaiser Khan (-81kg) and Nadeem Akram (-73kg),” he said. Masood said Abdul Malik will accompany the team as manager.
Speaking about the Iranian coach Sajjad Kazemi, he said we are thinking to renew his contract for two years till 2018.
It may be mentioned here that Sajjad went to Iran in Ramzan to spend holidays at home but after Eid his visa expired due to which he was facing problems in joining his duty in Pakistan.
For the renewal of his visa PJF sent request to the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and then his case was forwarded to the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC). If PJF extends his contract then he will be granted visa.
