National Kabaddi championship to start from April 14

FAISALABAD, Apr 13 (APP):The four-day Sarsabz National Kabaddi Championship will commence on April 14 (Tuesday) at Malikpur Kabaddi Stadium, bringing together top institutional teams from across the country.

According to Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) General Secretary Muhammad Sarwar Rana,the opening ceremony will feature a colorful start to the tournament with Chaudhry Shafay Hussain,President of the federation,serving as the chief guest.

Senior civil and law enforcement officials,including the Divisional Commissioner Faisalabad,Deputy Commissioner,Regional Police Officer (RPO), City Police Officer (CPO), and members of parliament were expected to attend the inaugural ceremony.

The championship,scheduled from April 14 to 17 will feature eight institutional teams representing Pakistan Army,Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Airport Security Force (ASF),Higher Education Commission (HEC),WAPDA, and Pakistan Railways Police among others.

Organizers said that foolproof security arrangements have been finalized to ensure the smooth conduct of the event,which aims to promote traditional sports and provide a competitive platform for institutional teams nationwide.
