Mushahid tops Hassan Sadpara Memorial Competition

ISLAMABAD, Dec 13 (APP): Mushahid Shah grabbed first position
in the Hassan Sadpara Memorial Climbing Challenge category of the
Climbing Competition held at Margalla Hills (Jasmine Corner).
Asadullah Shah bagged second position while Dawood Ahmed and
Shahzad Butt attained third and fourth positions.
The Rock Climbing Competition was organized by Adventure Club,
Pakistan and Ibex Club to mark International Mountain Day.
A special professional category memorial challenge cup was the
highlight of the event, which was organized to pay a tribute to
renowned mountaineer Hassan Sadpara, who had expired in November
2016.
The open category competition was won by Dawood Ahmed while
second and third positions were secured by Sharafat Hussain, Akmal
Nadeem and Shahzad Butt.
Girls’ enthusiasm was superb and Iqra Jilani and Shamsa Khan
toped in categories of Under15 and Under12.
Esam Khattak, managing director Ibex Club was the guest of
honor on the occasion and distributed awards among the position
holders.
Tahir Imran Khan, founder president of The Adventure Club,
Pakistan also thanked the participants in the competition.
He announced free training course to position holders,
complimentary membership of the club to position holders. He also
announced the holding of forthcoming climbing competition in March
on International Women’s Day, which would be 11th consecutive year
of holding this event.
