Misbah, fittest player in the team: Wahab Riaz

ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP): Pacer Wahab Riaz feels skipper Misbah-
ul-Haq is the fittest player in the team saying he is a kind of a guy who
always lifts his team and backs his players.
It is pertinent to mention that Misbah has hinted about his retirement
and the final Test starting this Sunday at Sharjah could well be his last.
Wahab said that Misbah could go in the game as he is fully fit. “Age
is irrelevant, it is just a number, Misbah is the fittest player in our team and you can still see him moving around well in the field,” Pakpassion.net quoted him as saying.
Wahab said Pakistan have been great under Misbah’s captaincy.
“Misbah is a very hard working captain, the kind of guy who always lifts his
team and backs his players. Things are much easier for the players with him
around,” he said.
Speaking about star batsman Younis Khan, Wahab said Younis is a
legend and a role model for us from whom we learn everything about cricket,
whether it is batting bowling or fielding,” he said.
Wahab said Younis never gives up and that is the best thing about
him. “He keeps us motivated and is always there to help us. We are very
lucky to have a legend like him (Younis) in our dressing room whom we respect and who always gives respect to others,” he said.
Commenting on the final Test on Sunday, Wahab said the Sharjah
wicket will be new having been prepared for this series, so it depends on the surface whether or not we will get any reverse swing. “We will only know
that when we get there and assess the conditions,” he said adding he will
make life tough once again for the visiting batsmen.
