Miakeel, Amir, Ahtesham moves in ITF World Jr Tennis C’ship semis

ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP):Pakistan’s Miakeel Ali Baig, Amir Mazari and Ahtesham Humayun have qualified for the boys’ singles semifinals of the ITF Pakistan Ali Embroidery World Junior Tennis Championship J-30 (Leg-2)-2025 here at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex.
A large number of junior tennis players from around the world, including China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the host nation, Pakistan, are participating in this prestigious tournament.
In the boys’ singles, Miakeel, Amir and Ahtesham of Pakistan won their matches and qualified for the semifinals. For the first time in history, four Pakistani teams moved into the semifinals of the Boys Doubles.
In boys singles quarterfinals: Amir Mazari(PAK) beat Timur Gordeev (RUS) 2-6,6-2,6-2; Ahtesham Humayun (PAK) beat Marsel Alexeyev (KAZ) 6-0,6-3; Mikaeel Ali Baig(PAK) beat Muhammad Hassan Usamni (PAK) 6-3,6-2; Kristijonas Milasausjs (LTU) beat Abubakat Talha (PAK) 5-7,2-0 (retd).
In girls singles quarterfinals: Ecrin Lal Yavuz (TUR) beat Zihan Feng (CHN) 6-1,2-0 (retd); Karolina Ligai (KAZ) beat Amna Ali Qayum (PAK) 6-0,6-0; Serife Pelin Sari(TUR) beat Daria Bogacheva (RUS) 3-6,6-4,6-1; Deniz Cakil (TUR) beat Yewon Lee (KOR) 6-2,7-5.
In boys doubles quarterfinals: Mikaeel Ali Baig (PAK), Timur Gordeev (RUS) beat Muhammad Yahya (PAK) Theerapat (THA) 6-1,6-2; M. Hazia Asim, M. Hassan Usmani (PAK) w/o Ippei Matsushima (JPN), Kristijonas Milasausjs (LTU); Ahtesham Humayun, Hamza Roman (PAK) beat Nabeel Ali Qayum (PAK), Jun Woo Yee (KOR) 5-7,6-3(10-0); Abubakar Talha, Zohaib Afzal Malik (PAK) beat Shehryar Anees, Asad Zaman (PAK) 6-2,6-2.
In girls doubles quarterfinals: Zihan Feng (CHN), Serife Pelin Sari (TUR) beat Rania Busz (USA), Naimah Grant (GBR) 6-0,6-0; Polina (KAZ), Karolina Ligai (KAZ) beat Yewon Lee (KOR), Mingxi Qu (CHN) 6-3,6-2 ; Deniz Cakil (TUR), Ecrin Lal (TUR) beat Eyu Yoshida (JPN) Parawera (THA) 6-3,7-5.
