Marka-e-Haq Azadi Cup Tenpin Bowling C’ship kicks off

The Marka-e-Haq Azadi Cup Tenpin Bowling Championship kicked off here at Leisure City Bowling Club, Safa Gold Mall.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 09 (APP): The Marka-e-Haq Azadi Cup Tenpin Bowling Championship kicked off here at Leisure City Bowling Club, Safa Gold Mall.
The opening ceremony was attended by PTBF President Ijaz Ur Rehman, with Muhammad Shahid Islam, Deputy Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board, attending as the chief guest. Players from across the country are competing in 8 different categories: Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Ladies’ Singles, Amateur, Deaf Men’s, Deaf Ladies’, Trios Event, and Inter-School categories.
PTBF President Ijaz Ur Rehman has encouraged youth to actively engage in positive activities and announced that the ‘Marka-e-Haq’ Championship will be held annually. On this occasion, he also paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Finals for the Deaf events were completed on the opening day with the following results:
Deaf Men’s Singles: 1st Position: Qasim Asad (149 points); 2nd Position: Umar Farooq (130 points); 3rd Position: Wajid Ali (113 points).
Deaf Women’s Singles: 1st Position: Asma (115 points); 2nd Position: Zoya (102 points); 3rd Position: Ambreen Zahra (79 points); 4th Position: Samaira (76 points).
The final matches of the championship will be played on August 14, followed by the presentation of trophies and awards to the winning players.
