PESHAWAR, Oct 26 (APP): Mardan club clinched the trophy of the Gymnastic
event part of the overall District Mardan Sports Gala organized by District Sports Officer at Mardan Sports Complex on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner Mardan Shahid Ullah Khan was the chief guest on this
occasion. District Sports Officer Jamshed Baloch, former international hockey player Hamayun Khan, officials of the various participating clubs and large number of spectators were also present.
In the overall Gymnastic competitions clubs comprising Super Gym, Mardan
Club, Hoti Club, Gymnastic club, Ibrahim club, Diyar club took part in the event out them Mardan club got first position, followed by Super Gym club.
The players exhibited their skills in floor, ring, para-bar and
vaulting. Muhammad Fahim was declared as best gymnast, hailing from Mardan Gymnastic club.
The chief guest also gave away prizes to the Mardan District team who
recently toured Abbottabad for a three matches series. District Abbottabad won the series by 2-1, however, the players learnt a lot from the tour, Jamshed Baloch told APP on phone.
He informed that Gymnastic event is actually part of the overall ongoing
Gala being continued under the aegis of District Sports Officer Mardan.
